Kevin
Livingston raced for eight years as
a professional cyclist.
His teams included
Motorola, Cofidis, US Postal Service,
and Team Telekom. Kevin’s superb
mountain performances always guaranteed
him a slot on teams that went to the
Tour De France. He helped Lance train
and make his comeback from cancer
and became his main mountain lieutenant
in Lance’s first two Tour wins
in 1999 and 2000.
In 2001, Kevin
accepted a contract with Team Telekom
where he assisted Jan Ullrich in his
bid to win the Tour De France. At
the end of the 2002 Tour De France,
Kevin announced his retirement and
he rode his last race at the San Francisco
Grand Prix in September 2002.
